How to Create Gift Boxes

The Custom Gift Service transforms your order into a ready-to-gift experience. Instead of receiving items in plain packaging, your recipient will open a beautifully arranged gift box filled with the products you've chosen. Here's what we do: once you assign items to a gift box, our team carefully arranges them inside a sturdy gift box, adds decorative filling to cushion and present the items nicely, and wraps everything together. The result is a thoughtful, professionally presented gift - no extra wrapping needed on your end. You can create up to three separate gift boxes in a single order, perfect for sending gifts to multiple people or organizing items into themed boxes.

Getting Started

To begin creating gift boxes, look for the "Create Gift Box" button at the top of your cart page. Clicking this button activates gift box mode, which changes how your cart is displayed. In gift box mode, each item in your cart appears individually with a dropdown menu beside it. This dropdown is how you'll assign items to specific boxes. Don't worry - you can exit gift box mode at any time by clicking "Cancel Gift Box" if you change your mind. This will remove all gift box assignments and return your cart to its normal view.

Creating Boxes

Once you're in gift box mode, you'll notice a dropdown menu next to each item showing "No box" by default. To create your first gift box, click on any item's dropdown and select "+ New Box" from the options. This creates Box #1 and automatically assigns that item to it. You'll see the item is now grouped under a box header showing the box number and its current capacity usage. To create additional boxes, simply select "+ New Box" again from any unassigned item's dropdown. You can create up to three boxes per order - Box #1, Box #2, and Box #3. Each box is visually distinguished by a different colored border, making it easy to see which items belong where. Each gift box you create adds a €5 Custom Gift Service fee to your order. This covers the gift box itself, decorative filling materials, and the hand-packing service.

Organizing Your Items

After creating your boxes, you have full control over which items go where. Every item's dropdown menu shows all available options: your existing boxes (Box #1, Box #2, etc.), the option to create a new box, and "No box" for items you don't want gift-wrapped. To move an item from one box to another, simply click its dropdown and select a different box number. The item will instantly move to your chosen box, and you'll see the capacity counters update for both boxes. If you decide an item shouldn't be in a gift box after all, select "No box" from the dropdown. That item will be removed from the gift box and will ship separately in standard packaging alongside your gift boxes. This flexibility lets you experiment with different arrangements until you're happy with how your gifts are organized. Maybe you want all the cozy items in one box and all the fun items in another - it's entirely up to you.

Box Capacity

Each gift box has a maximum capacity of 25 units to ensure everything fits properly and arrives in perfect condition. Different items take up different amounts of space based on their physical size - a small keyring might only use 1-2 capacity units, while a large mug could use 5-6 units. As you add items to a box, the capacity counter in the box header updates in real time, showing you something like "12/25 capacity". This helps you gauge how much room you have left. When a box approaches its limit (21 or higher), the capacity text turns yellow as a warning. If you exceed 25, it turns red, and importantly, the checkout button becomes disabled. You won't be able to proceed until you reorganize your items to bring all boxes within the capacity limit. If you hover over the disabled checkout button, you'll see a message explaining that one or more boxes exceed capacity. To fix this, simply move some items to a different box or remove them from the gift box entirely by selecting "No box".

Please note: The Custom Gift Service is a service, not a physical product. By purchasing it, you expressly consent to the service beginning immediately upon order confirmation. Because the gift boxes are assembled and prepared before shipping, the service is considered fully performed at that point. In accordance with EU consumer protection law, this means the Custom Gift Service fee is non-refundable under the 14-day right of withdrawal.
